(listening to: The Psychedelic Furs: The Psychedelic Furs)

Things are slowly coming together for this jaunt to Idaho, nothing like a plan actually working. We're gonna be brave pioneers and venture East through the middle of Oregon instead of taking the interstate along the Columbia river. I don't think there's a whole lot of anything in the middle of Oregon.

We went crazy with the reviews today, it's that November rush.

I dig the new Radiohead live EP.

(listening to: The Dismemberment Plan: Change)

MP3 of the week: Sparklehorse this, Sparklehorse that. It's no lie, It's a Wonderful Life has been the highpoint in the music career of Mark Linkous, and I've blabbed on and on about it. No more talking, just listen. This live version of More Yellow Birds is from their KCRW session earlier this month. Worth hearing for the talent of the band he brought with him on his West Coast tour. Gorgeous fiddle and guitar parts punctuate the song, if you missed him in your town this time around, you missed out, seriously.

I'm feeling like that guy from the Godspeed You Black Emperor! record who goes down to the judge to pay his parking ticket, and gives the man in the robe a piece of his mind. I'm going through hell trying to get my car registered and paying the parking tickets I never should have received in the first place. I'm running around the entire Bay Area trying to get things resolved before we leave for Boise.

Dinner with my brother tonight, looking forward to some choice conversation tidbits, laundry and TV and resting almost sound better than the hodgepodge of crap that is my work today.

Redshifter lives in San Francisco and likes The Dismemberment Plan.
