(listening to: Grandaddy: The Sophtware Slump)

Only a good East Bay journalist would hire a psychic to channel Ian Curtis and ask him what he thought of Interpol. I really like how the writer comes right out and says that the bass player is kind of a jaded dick...that takes guts.

I'm so glad it's Friday. You don't even know.

:: Things I Did On My Trip To Oregon ::

  • Ate a pie sampler at our favorite restaurant in Hopland.
  • Drove through Ukiah, home of both the horribly dressed band AFI, and Oscar the cat.
  • Bought booze at First Chance/Last Chance Liquors (it depends on which direction you're driving over the border) and made the parrot behind the counter meow like a cat while doing a little dance.
  • Actually watched a Yahoo Serious movie and lived to tell about it.
  • Went through an entire bottle of tequila mixing margaritas, chasing each one with a 16 ounce can of PBR.
  • Ate cheap mexican food for Valentine's Day dinner. MRA got a kiss, of course.
  • Barbecued a lot of meat. In the rain. Surrounded by slithering banana slugs.
  • Enjoyed NOT BEING AT MY LAME-ASS JOB.
I missed Oregon today, but knowing that in three weeks I'll be out of the state again makes me happy.

(listening to: Yo La Tengo: Ride The Tiger)

Or-ee-gun was lots of fun. It rained a lot and I drank a lot of margaritas and played a lot of Rummikub. We even watched a Yahoo Serious movie. What more could you ask for?
